Description

Primapore is a conformable adhesive dressing that consists of a breathable non-woven top layer and a low-adherent absorbent pad.

The Primapore adhesive dressings for wounds are designed to benefit both the patient and the user. The dressing is very soft and adaptable, making it comfortable to wear while also protecting the wound from further trauma.

Features and Benefits:

Conformable: The dressing is soft and adaptable, ensuring patient comfort. The flexible non-woven layer will not restrict body movements when in place and helps ensure adaptability to all wound sites.

Highly absorbent pad: The dressing has a highly absorbent pad that maximizes the passage of blood and exudate into the dressing, minimizing the risk of fluid strike-through.

Low-adherent wound contact layer: The pad has a low-adherent wound contact layer that helps minimize tissue trauma or damage upon removal, reducing the risk of pain during dressing changes.

Rounded corners: The dressing has rounded corners that can help reduce the risk of the dressing lifting or snagging, which may help reduce the frequency of dressing changes while maintaining optimal dressing condition.

Easy to apply: The backing paper, cut across the width of the dressing, allows for quick application without the risk of touching the absorbent pad or adhesive area with fingers or forceps. The easy-to-open packaging facilitates a clean dressing technique.

Hypoallergenic adhesive: The hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive is evenly spread over the non-woven backing layer of the dressing, providing secure fixation to the wound site.

Application and removal:

  1. Remove the backing papers to expose the non-adherent absorbent pad.
  2. Holding the backing papers at each end of the dressing, carefully place the dressing over the designated area and remove the release papers.
  3. Gently smooth the dressing in place, applying light pressure (especially around the edges). Care should be taken not to stretch the dressing during application, as this can cause trauma to the underlying skin.
