Description

IV3000 is made of a special REACTIC film that is breathable and more permeable to water vapor than conventional films. It is water-resistant and impermeable to liquids, bacteria, and viruses.

IV3000 is a dressing with a specific transparent film designed to meet the catheter fixation needs and keep the puncture site dry.

These properties result in:

  • Drier catheter insertion sites.
  • Reduced skin maceration.
  • Lower skin colonization, reducing the risk of catheter-related infections.

Key features:

IV3000 can be easily and aseptically applied, and thanks to the adhesive distributed throughout the dressing’s structure, IV3000 features a non-irritating and non-sensitizing adhesive.

With its high Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR), which can be up to 8 times higher than similar dressings on the market, IV3000 ensures that moisture passes through the dressing as vapor while maintaining its impermeability, bacterial barrier, and secure fixation.

The IV3000 range of dressings provides extra and secure fixation by incorporating two sterile medical-grade fixation strips that guarantee catheter stability. They also include a patient data collection label that ensures best practice.

Reduced infection risk:

Bacterial barrier, including Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA). Low incidence of catheter-related septicemia. Reduces the risk of infection and bacterial growth by preventing moisture accumulation. Maintains lower levels of bacterial colonization on the skin. MVTR is up to 8 times higher than other transparent dressings, keeping the insertion site dry.

Cost-effectiveness:

Due to the drier area under the dressing with a high MVTR, there is a lower probability of infection. Any dressing that reduces the possibility of infection also reduces the overall cost of IV treatment due to lower patient care costs resulting from fewer interventions caused by infections. There is less need for frequent dressing changes with IV3000, which also implies cost reduction.
