Description

Opsite Flexigrid is a transparent and adhesive film that is waterproof and moisture-proof. It is adaptable to any area and stretchable. It is clinically proven to promote healing in a moist environment, making it ideal for use as a secondary dressing and for pressure ulcer prophylaxis.

Key Features:

  • Faster and less painful healing.
  • Film with acrylic adhesive.
  • Waterproof and bacterial barrier.
  • Simple and effective application technique.
  • Adaptable to difficult areas.
  • Unique system for wound measurement.

Benefits:

Faster and less painful healing.

Retains natural exudate that contains vital nutrients needed for cell growth and white blood cells to prevent infections. Evaporation of excess moisture reduces the risk of skin maceration.

Film with acrylic adhesive.

It is stretchable and adaptable, and combined with its high permeability to moisture evaporation, the dressing can remain on the wound for up to 14 days, reducing the time needed for dressing changes.

Waterproof and bacterial barrier.

It is waterproof and protects the skin under the dressing from water and bodily fluids, allowing patient hygiene without the need for dressing changes. The film provides a barrier against bacteria, reducing the risk of secondary infections.

Simple and effective application technique.

Offers a simple and effective application system. The applicator allows the dressing to be applied with one hand and adapted to the injured area. Being transparent, proper placement of the dressing on the wound can be visualized.

Adaptable to difficult areas.

Designed to fit any body area. It can be easily trimmed into strips or specific shapes to be applied to challenging areas such as ankles, elbows, and knees.

Unique system for wound measurement.

Incorporates a unique and precise system for wound measurement, facilitating observation of the healing process. After tracing the wound’s outline, the grid sheet is removed and can be archived with the medical records.

Indications:

Superficial wounds such as scrapes, minor burns, cuts, and abrasions. Prophylaxis and protection of pressure ulcers, around stomas and ostomy bags. As a secondary dressing for Allevyn Cavity. Pain reduction in diabetic neuropathies.

Instructions for Use:

  • Clean and dry the area before applying Opsite Flexigrid. If necessary, degrease the skin with alcohol. Excess hair should be shaved to ensure good product adherence.
  • Remove the release liner number 1 and place the dressing over the wound, smoothing it down with your hand for good adherence. Then, peel back tab number 2 and gently press down in that area.
  • If there is a wound, trace its outline on the grid backing.
  • Remove the grid backing. If the outline was drawn on the grid, save it for ongoing monitoring of the wound.
