Description

  • Adaptable to any type of fixation.
  • The lower metal volume allows more space for bone graft placement.
  • Open screws offer loading and superior closure capabilities to simplify their use.
  • The simple closed screw is designed to minimize impression on anatomical structures and irritation of soft tissues.
  • Break-off feature allows low-profile fixation with strong locking.
  • STAR connectors facilitate medial/lateral rod insertion and column translation. Compatible with low-profile CROSSLINK plate.
  • The system is available in various rod diameters and screw sizes, allowing the surgeon to choose the appropriate size for the condition, anatomy, and activity level of the patient. It is made of titanium.

Medtronic has developed the CD HORIZON® LEGACY™ spinal fixation system, a superior load-bearing multiaxial screw system with an improved locking mechanism, lower profile design, and ergonomically designed instrument set. This system is designed for the treatment of degenerative conditions, deformities, and trauma.

Its unique reverse-angle thread locking mechanism maintains the ease of introducing superior load-bearing locking screws while virtually eliminating thread damage-related difficulties. This patented design, known as G4 Technology, improves the ease and safety of the final adjustment. It is worth noting the reduced space occupied by the multiaxial screws, reducing the functional profile of the screws and limiting interference with facet joints. In addition to these advancements, the instrument set has been redesigned and significantly improved.

CD HORIZON® LEGACY™ caters to the specialized needs of the surgical staff: a wide range of surgical possibilities within a single system and availability of deformity treatment modules and addressing needs associated with other pathologies. Color-coded screw sizing reduces system complexity for the surgeon and technical staff. The CD HORIZON® LEGACY™ spinal fixation system represents a significant advancement in the development and refinement of pedicle screw fixation.
